Prof. Dr.-Ing. Berlak, born 14.5.1973, married, 2 children, with a focus on production technology has studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and made his thesis on Supply Chain Management at IBM Business Consulting. The work was awarded in 2000 by the Society of Production Management.

After that he worked three and a half years at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb)  of the Technical University of Munich as a research assistant. In addition to consulting projects in the areas of ERP / MRP software, farm management, factory planning, logistics, production planning and control, he led a research project on the mutability of operational software. His doctorate dealt with the structured selection of ERP / PPS software. From 2003-2009 Dr. Berlak was responsible at the FAUSER AG, an international ERP / PPS / MES software manufacturer for medium-sized industries, as Head of Strategy and Consulting and Vice President FAUSER Kft. National and international levels.

In 2009 Mr. Berlak founded the software4production GmbH and is still their CEO. As Chief Executive of the NC-Gesellschaft e.V., an association with 180 industrial companies, he has been working actively in 2006 for technology transfer. From 2002-2012, the engineer was a lecturer for factory planning in the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Landshut and since 2009 a consultant for ERP / PPS / MES systems. In 2012 Dr. Berlak was appointed a professor at the International University of Cooperative Education. Prof. Berlak has published numerous publications and carried out publicly funded research projects.
