Customer / production orders, operations, resources and their capacities are the key elements of residue-free detailed planning. A detailed description of the multi-resource scheduling can be found in the 4APS-Brochure.
At this point we explain the additional module for energy efficiency optimization.
Consumption data in the operation master data
Today each operation already contains information of the consumption of time (eg setup / track / total time) and the number and quantity / quality of resources required (f.e. which machine, which employee, which raw material). With the energy consumption can be proceed analogous. This allows in the analogya forward / accompanying costing using energy hourly rates. The consumption can be saved in the item master data and printed directly on offers, order confirmations and deliverys. This is already standard in Scandinavia.

The energy consumption is represented by the X-Y-chart directly in the planning board.
Optimization of energy consumption
With the help of this addon, in addition to residue-free scheduling of jobs logistical considerations (f.e. delivery performance, cycle times, etc.) are made taking into account the energy consumption. An attempt is made at constant deadlines, eg by the scheduling of power-intensive operations in the night shift (or times with lower electricity costs) make appropriate optimizations. Likewise, through virtual lot formation or by grouping similar operations. Due to the planned order supply, it is possible that machines have an adjustable time doing nothing, remotely disable (see MDE hardware).
