Target group:
- Companies that manufacture and / or assemble with / from containers
Challenge:
In today's production logistics containers are available in all standard sizes and forms the backbone for transport and storage of raw materials, semi-finished goods or finished products. Container for a long time were here only reduced to their logistic function and were so unintelligent: they got more than unique identification numbers so you can corresponding storage areas and locations and / or was an appropriate article / outsource. Only with the introduction of Kanban in the context of lean management they received modest intelligence through the application of kanban cards, RFID tags or GPS sensors. However, it still dominates the pure storage and transport function. First research approaches such as "Inbin" from Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics deal already with smart containers, the industrial implementation maturity and cost / benefit are not yet reached straight for the manufacturing middle class. This raises the challenge of offering a viable production logistics solution for the manufacturing middle class, which solves these challenges in terms of applicability Sonnenburg.
Solution:
4PRO Production Logistics 4.0
4PRO converts unintelligent objects (f.e. charge carrier) with the help of software and hardware to "co-thinker". For this purpose, a bistable Paper-White-Display is attached with function keys on the containers. So the workers can interact directly. The vertical integration of the planning and control system is established via WLAN. The real-time exchange of information has great benefits for production and logistics:
- significantly increase the competitiveness and productivity,
- the elimination of terminally bonded warehouse and BDE bookings
- the reduction of production lead times and costs, as well as
- a sustainable transparency in manufacturing and / or assembly.
